Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field
- Over 8 years of software development experience
- Proficiency in all software development phases including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale applications
- At least 8 years of development experience in Java (minimum Java 8), Python, or Go
- More than 5 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and microservices
- Minimum of 3 years of development experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
- Demonstrable experience in Agile development, application design, and software testing
- Strong technical aptitude and a keen interest in learning new skills and industry trends
- Proven experience with object-oriented design and coding across various languages and ability to manage complex data structures
- Willingness to communicate ideas, concerns, and feedback directly in team meetings, whether in-person or virtual
- Experience writing applications for deployment in cloud environments, including OpenShift and Docker containers
- Familiarity with performance and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and ELK
- Analytical skills with a talent for discovering non-obvious solutions
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, system testing, and test automation
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, application monitoring, platform stabilization, and investment performance is a plus
- Knowledge of Function As a Service (FaaS) & Lambda is preferred
- Experience with event-driven and reactive programming and considerations for web privacy and security regulations
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the high-level and detailed design of complex subsystems, focusing on high availability and low latency
- Define and update architectural guiding principles to direct platform and solution development alongside other solution architects
- Conduct proofs of concept to assess the feasibility and performance of proposed solutions in alignment with project goals and requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to comprehend and help define business principles, goals, and strategies within your scope of responsibility
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Implement effective software engineering practices and processes that enhance speed to market, including open-source project maintenance, PR review processes, and issue triage
- Oversee code reviews, establish code contribution metrics, and optimize test automation strategies and CI/CD processes
