Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree and 12 years of pertinent experience; or 10 years with a Masters; or 8 years with a PhD.
- An additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Must hold an active/current Top Secret/SCI clearance with adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph at application.
- Direct experience in developing RMF assessment and authorization documentation.
- Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Familiarity with RMF (NIST 800-37) accreditation functions including documentation, scanning, assessment, and management of Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).
- Proven experience assessing system security posture for compliance with customer requirements.
- Experience in requirements development from control listings.
- Background in integrating Cyber Systems Engineering requirements within Program System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Skills in adjusting commercial security methodologies and technologies for sensitive customer environments following NIST 800-53.
- Ability to apply analytical methods to effectively address issues in Cybersecurity implementation.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Department of War (DoW)/Intelligence Community (IC) System Security Engineering activities.
- Possession of Security+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
Responsibilities
- Support the architecture and design of integrated cybersecurity requirements and safeguards.
- Provide implementation guidance and oversight to technical teams on cybersecurity system engineering.
- Evaluate stakeholder security objectives, protection needs, and security requirements while ensuring proper verification and validation methods.
- Offer security insights to enhance systems engineering efforts aimed at minimizing errors and vulnerabilities that could lead to asset loss.
- Assess and quantify the costs and benefits of security functions to inform analysis of alternatives and risk management decisions.
- Create, support, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity program documentation and RMF package documentation, such as Cybersecurity Strategies, System Security Plans, and Security Control Traceability Matrix.
- Monitor continuous cybersecurity practices and manage Risk Assessment Reports and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM).
