Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) - Over 5 years of experience in enterprise-level IT or cybersecurity operations - Minimum of 3 years managing enterprise-scale incident response or Security Operations Center environments - Advanced certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, CEH, or similar are highly preferred - In-depth knowledge of Azure/AWS native tools, security event analysis, digital forensics, malware triage, security automation, and remediation strategies - Experience with implementing or managing Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR - Proficiency in incident response activities across various technical teams - Familiarity with large, intricate IT infrastructures and experience managing the complete incident lifecycle across different platforms - Previous experience with federal information systems is an advantage - Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance - Willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities

- Lead the detection, analysis, and response efforts to complex cybersecurity incidents as a Tier 3 lead analyst - Operationalize and onboard contemporary detection technologies - Develop and refine playbooks for modern cloud incident response - Analyze attack vectors and patterns to identify root causes and recommend effective remediation strategies - Mentor and guide Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts during incidents, sharing technical knowledge - Oversee all incident response activities from detection to recovery, including lessons learned and improvement actions - Create, enhance, and coordinate real-time security analytics use cases to identify sophisticated cyber threats - Utilize SOAR platforms to automate and optimize incident response workflows for enrichment, containment, and remediation - Collaborate with forensics, threat intelligence, IT, and network teams to ensure coordinated and effective incident response - Facilitate mentorship and support to junior and mid-level cybersecurity personnel, promoting a culture of learning and teamwork - Conduct cybersecurity exercises, simulations, and ongoing training to improve readiness
