Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in leadership roles with an increasing level of responsibility
- Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, development practices, and core modules
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (both client-side and server-side), Glide API, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or comparable DevOps tools; familiarity with provisioning cloud resources using Terraform and Ansible
- Ability to create estimates and preliminary deployment plans for ServiceNow functionalities
- Expertise in developing technical engineering roadmaps, architecture diagrams, and visuals for alignment
- In-depth understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle
- Skilled in documenting and creating functionality that aligns with customer value streams
- Recent experience with Microsoft Azure or other major cloud providers, focusing on architectural and engineering ownership
- Proven ability in modernizing legacy applications and architecture in Azure environments
- Proficient in translating architecture plans into deployed solutions and managing cloud migration programs
- Experienced in microservices and API-first architectural design
- Demonstrated success presenting complex designs and solutions to government stakeholders
- Practical knowledge of DevSecOps practices and Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience evaluating commercial software for technical suitability, security, and performance
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management skills
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong presentation abilities to explain technical concepts confidently
- Proven leadership, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and debugging capabilities
- Ability to mentor and guide junior developers
- ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
Responsibilities
- Estimate the effort needed to implement ServiceNow functionalities
- Act as the technical owner and subject matter expert for our Azure cloud environment
- Architect sophisticated solutions, including Virtual Networks and peering configurations
- Implement high-availability and scalable solutions across multiple regions, managing secure traffic with application firewalls
- Contribute to system integrations and the use of automation tools like GitLab, Terraform, and Ansible
- Oversee the software testing process to ensure thorough testing of all non-functional requirements
- Analyze and recommend security technologies as required
- Collaborate with system and software architects to optimize the development lifecycle
- Identify risks related to solutions and take steps to mitigate them
- Provide advanced support for complex incidents, conducting root cause analysis for stability
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers and stakeholders
- Ensure customer satisfaction by understanding crucial mission needs and aligning expectations
- Refine and document customer requirements effectively
- Define and document the technologies that meet various requirements
- Work with engineering teams on technical problem-solving and prioritizing issues
- Mentor other architects and engineers in best practices
- Maintain current certifications and pursue additional professional certifications as needed
