Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, psychology, economics, data science, sociology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in quantitative analysis or research, ideally in a product, user experience (UX), or applied research setting.
- Solid foundation in statistical inference along with specialized knowledge in experimental or quasi-experimental methods.
- Proven experience working with survey data, including questionnaire design, sampling methodologies, and data weighting.
- Proficiency in at least one statistical or analytical programming language (e.g., R, Python) and experience with SQL.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex analytical results clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional team environments.
- Preferred: Experience in UX, product, or behavioral research.
- Preferred: Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies or causal inference techniques.
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative findings into design or product decisions.
- Preferred: Background in quantitative psychology or behavioral science methods and research.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and analyze large-scale surveys, experiments, and observational studies to gather extensive data.
- Utilize advanced inferential statistical techniques, including regression, hypothesis testing, and multivariate analysis, to answer essential research questions.
- Create effective sampling strategies, weighting schemes, and data quality checks, ensuring the highest level of statistical accuracy and dependability.
- Analyze complex data sets, identify meaningful patterns and trends, and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders across functions.
- Convert quantitative insights into practical and actionable recommendations that steer product development, design iterations, and overall business strategy.
- Collaborate closely with research, design, and product teams to refine research inquiries and establish effective measurement methods.
- Thoroughly document methodologies, underlying assumptions, and limitations to ensure reproducibility and accurate interpretation of results.
- Support ongoing research initiatives by developing standardized metrics, user-friendly dashboards, and robust analytical frameworks.
