Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Starburst Data Virtualization
- Familiarity with Dremio, Presto, and SQL Performance Tuning
- Strong shell scripting skills
- Experience with Autosys
- Expert-level SQL capabilities for data analysis
- Knowledge of Informatica and IDMC tools
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts and architectures, including star and snowflake schema
- Preferred experience with Hadoop or Spark
- Ability to validate HiveQL and HDFS file structures
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with developers and stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data virtualization solutions using Starburst
- Optimize query performance across various distributed data sources
- Integrate Starburst with enterprise data architectures
- Analyze data mapping documents and business requirements to create detailed test plans and cases
- Conduct source-to-target data reconciliation and verify data loading processes
- Ensure transformation rules are correctly applied
- Develop complex SQL scripts for data validation purposes
- Identify, document, and monitor data defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane
- Automate test scripts and assess data volume, performance, and scalability
- Validate data processing and structures within the Hadoop cluster
