Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of comprehensive Database Administration experience
- At least 6 years of direct PostgreSQL DBA experience
- Proficient with AWS RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL technologies
- Familiar with Linux Red Hat operating environments
- Strong skill set in SQL and database architecture
- Experience in Cloud Infrastructure implementation
- Background in MS SQL Database Administration
- Ability to write and optimize Stored Procedures
- Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high availability solutions
- Proven experience in backup and recovery strategies
Responsibilities
- Oversee, configure, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL databases in both AWS and local environments
- Plan and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery protocols
- Set up and manage replication, clustering, and high availability mechanisms
- Enhance database performance and resolve issues in production
- Automate routine database maintenance and operational activities
- Coordinate with development teams on schema design and SQL performance enhancements
- Administer database security and manage access controls
- Conduct capacity planning and ensure thorough documentation is maintained
- Provide DBA scripts and documentation as necessary
Description
We are looking for a seasoned PostgreSQL DBA to oversee, maintain, and enhance PostgreSQL database systems on both cloud and on-premise platforms.
