Responsibilities
- Analyze functional and technical needs and convert them into Mainframe design specifications
- Coordinate and participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions
- Develop, enhance, and sustain COBOL-based Mainframe applications
- Execute unit testing, provide system testing assistance, and resolve defects
- Guarantee code quality, optimize performance, and comply with coding standards
- Assist with production implementation and validate processes post-production
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as business analysts, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams
