Requirements
Must:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other technical discipline.
• 2+ years of software development experience or commensurate coursework.
• 2+ years of experience as an analyst within technical domains.
• Familiarity with how to leverage project planning and management tools (Atlassian, GitLab, GitHub, etc.) in an agile environment.
• Firm grasp of agile software development processes, including use case development.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively relay complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical background.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Working knowledge of and comfort with technical diagramming (flowcharts, activity/sequence/state diagrams, etc.).
Nice to have:
• Experience in test automation. • Experience working with Git and CI/CD tools. • Knowledge of C or C++ programming languages. • Previous experience working on projects for IoT devices or SaaS platforms.Technologies
Responsibilities
• Assist with software requirements development and documentation.
• Support use case development for software requirements.
• Participate in peer reviews.
• Perform unit, integration and functional testing both manually and through the creation of test automations.
• Translate business needs into clearly defined and detailed requirements, user stories, and user-focused specifications.
• Participate in the design and development of product features with the internal engineering teams, including contribution to user-interface design meetings, creation of wireframes and gathering internal customer feedback.
• Utilize multiple tools and resources to resolve customer inquiries or issues in the areas of business application, product functionality and enhancements.
• Coordinate with developers, hardware technicians and testers on testing activities and schedules. Analyze test results and track issue statuses.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Embedded Software Analyst is responsible for identifying problems, optimizing performance and user experience, performing initial investigation into software defects, capturing requirements, and helping define solutions for the unique business needs of Apex’s customers.
