Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and shell scripting
- Strong grasp of computer networking and related concepts
- Proficient in C/C++ programming
- Extensive experience with VS Code, Docker, and Linux
- Familiarity with development processes for certified safety-critical systems (e.g., DO-178B/C, ISO 26262)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and interface control documents for software implementation
- Proven experience in taking software from conception through release and ongoing support
- Strong knowledge of embedded software design and development
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Staff Systems Software Engineer on a next-generation autonomous aircraft program in the urban air mobility sector
- Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of both safety-critical and non-safety-critical systems
- Assist Systems and Software Engineering teams in defining technical solutions and integration strategies among internal and external partners
- Take part in software and physical architecture development and integration planning
- Engage in software requirements gathering and development
- Develop and integrate software for real-time embedded systems
- Oversee integration and testing activities across different teams
- Participate in Agile development processes, cross-functional design reviews, and mentorship opportunities
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, and suppliers
