Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- 6+ years of experience in application development, specifically with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with a public cloud environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 2 years of experience using Databricks
- Over 3 years of experience with distributed data or computing tools (such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications
- At least 2 years of experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Mongo, Cassandra)
- Over 2 years of data warehousing experience (specifically with Redshift or Snowflake)
- 3+ years of familiarity with UNIX or Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting
- A minimum of 2 years of experience implementing Agile engineering practices
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in application development (internship experience is not considered)
- At least 1 year of experience in big data technologies
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support comprehensive technical solutions using full-stack development tools
- Working closely with a team of developers who possess extensive knowledge in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Utilizing programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Keeping abreast of technology trends, experimenting with new technologies, actively participating in internal and external technology communities, and mentoring fellow engineers
- Partnering with digital product managers to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans
- Conducting unit tests and peer reviews to ensure code is rigorously designed, elegantly crafted, and optimized for performance
