Requirements
Must:
- 5 to 8+ years of professional experience managing production servers and infrastructure
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or Computer Engineering
- Proficient in creating and managing EC2 instances in AWS
- Familiarity with AWS Route 53 for DNS administration
- Comprehensive understanding of AWS VPCs, networking principles, and security protocols
- Proven experience using AWS Load Balancers (ALB/NLB/ELB)
- Background with AWS RDS, including SQL query execution
- Demonstrated experience with server management at scale in a LAMP stack setting
- Extensive knowledge of DNS operations, particularly within cloud platforms (Route 53 and Azure)
- Strong Linux systems administration expertise
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and oversee AWS-based infrastructure prioritizing reliability, security, and scalability
- Function both independently and as part of a team in a high-availability setting with stringent uptime demands
- Build, deploy, and sustain EC2 instances en masse using contemporary automation techniques
- Manage existing AWS networking structures and security protocols
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues promptly, including participating in incident response if necessary
- Administer and operate AWS RDS instances, overseeing backups, performance optimization, and problem resolution
- Execute SQL queries for diagnostics, reporting, and operational assistance as required
- Develop, manage, and scale servers in a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and automated recovery mechanisms
- Collaborate with developers to enhance deployment processes and infrastructure automation
