Requirements
Must:

- A BS degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field.
- More than 3 years of experience in RTL design for System on Chip (SoC).
- Over 3 years in VLSI engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience using code quality tools such as Spyglass, LINT, or CDC.
- Knowledge of scripting for automation, preferably in Python, Perl, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with microarchitecture, SystemVerilog RTL, assertions, and SDC constraints.
- Understanding of data path design, interconnects, and the AXI protocol.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities
As part of the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team, you’ll be tasked with the design and optimization of hardware in our data centers, including AWS Inferentia, our custom server for machine learning inference. You’ll be responsible for:
- Integrating multiple subsystems into a top-level SoC, ensuring proper routing of signals for clock, reset, functional, and DFT.
- Delivering high-performance, area, and power-efficient RTL as a key member of the ASIC design team to meet specified design targets.
- Evaluating design, microarchitecture, or architecture to make necessary trade-offs based on feature, power, performance, or area requirements.
- Developing microarchitecture, implementing SystemVerilog RTL, and producing synthesis/timing-clean designs with constraints.
- Conducting lint and clock domain crossing quality checks.
- Collaborating with architects, other designers, verification teams, and both pre- and post-silicon validation teams to achieve project goals.
