Software Development Lead, AWS Neuron Frameworks

We are on the lookout for a Software Development Manager to guide our Frameworks team within AWS Neuron, the software infrastructure that supports AWS Inferentia and Trainium machine learning accelerators. This position merges technical expertise, team leadership, and strategic open-source collaboration to influence the future of machine learning acceleration at AWS. As the Software Development Manager, I will lead and mentor a talented group of software engineers while overseeing the development and upkeep of essential Neuron framework components. I will promote cross-functional collaboration with compiler, runtime, and kernel development teams to guarantee seamless integration of Neuron with leading machine learning frameworks. Additionally, I will contribute technically by reviewing designs and implementing features. A vital aspect of my role will be to establish and cultivate strategic relationships with open-source communities, notably with JAX, OpenXLA, and PyTorch/XLA. I will collaborate closely with these communities to align framework development roadmaps with Neuron's strategic goals, ensuring our customers benefit from the newest innovations in ML frameworks. In this position, I will play a crucial role in shaping how developers engage with AWS’s machine learning accelerators, enabling our customers to easily take advantage of the latest advancements in ML frameworks. This opportunity allows me to work at the intersection of cloud computing, machine learning, and open-source software, while leading a team that significantly impacts the future of ML acceleration at AWS.
