Requirements

Must:
- Active Secret Clearance - Minimum of 7 years in network operations; advanced education or military service may compensate for 2 years of experience - Relevant certification, such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent certification from a recognized authority - DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification of Category IAT Level I or higher

Responsibilities

- Assist in all stages of telecommunications network design, implementation, and evaluation - Oversee the assessment and cost analysis of voice and data WAN services from telecom providers - Create designs for access and backbone networks utilizing carrier services while aiding in wireless voice and data network design and analysis - Offer technical and administrative guidance to staff involved in telecommunications network tasks - Make recommendations for approval on significant network installations as necessary - Compile milestone updates and prepare presentations on network progress for team members and stakeholders - Troubleshoot, manage, configure, and sustain various technologies - Automate configuration tasks using Redhat Ansible and INFOBLOX Grid Manager - Work with Cisco Wireless Controllers and access points - Handle network sniffer technologies, such as NetScout InfiniStream and Wireshark - Utilize Network Management Software, including Opentext Network Automation and Opentext Network Node Manager - Operate Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ISE, dxNetOPs, dxSpectrum, Splunk, and SecureCRT - Diagnose and resolve LAN issues within the DLA network, providing data capture and analysis - Perform cable/network testing using testing equipment, Enterprise Sniffers, and Wireshark software - Conduct network monitoring and fault detection processes - Keep network documentation current, including maps, node connections, installation diagrams, and patch panel references - Maintain updated LAN objects and configurations in Network Management Servers (NMS) such as Opentext Network Operations Management - Communicate precise information effectively
