Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Penetration Tester.
- Ability to work 100% onsite at a Government of Saskatchewan office in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, starting on the contract date.
- Knowledge of local cybersecurity landscape.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, especially the OWASP Application Security Testing Standard.
- Experience with cloud security and various cloud application architectures and deployment models.
- Proficient in using penetration testing tools.
- Skill in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities.
- Understanding of common attack vectors and defensive strategies.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to penetration testing.
- Experience in static and dynamic application security testing through both automated and manual approaches.
- Experience with white box and black box testing methodologies.
- Competence in ISO 27002:2022 or equivalent information security control practices.
- Capability to write and present detailed assessment reports.
- Valid certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred; related cybersecurity certifications are also valuable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal and external security testing on networks and applications before and after deployment.
- Assess physical security measures as required.
- Carry out security audits when assigned.
- Analyze and review security policies and standards for improvements.
- Share knowledge and insights with fellow members of the Cyber Security and Risk Management Branch.
- Prepare and write comprehensive security assessment reports.
Description
We are the Information Technology Division (ITD) of the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, looking for one or more Penetration Testing Analysts to join our Cyber Security and Risk Management Branch (CSRM) in Regina, Saskatchewan. We manage all aspects of IT security, including enforcing information security policies, providing security education, responding to security incidents, and assessing IT-related business initiatives for security compliance.
