Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Over 10 years of experience with software solutions
- More than 5 years of experience utilizing Azure cloud platforms
- At least 5 years of experience in database design, SOAP, XML, JSON, Python, MS SQL, and WebAPI
- A minimum of 5 years in business, functional, and technical analysis for generating requirements
- 5+ years of experience with cloud security and application security
- Exceptional oral and written communication capabilities
- Superior attention to detail along with excellent time management skills
- Strong motivation to deliver top-tier software products
- Self-driven with the ability to support the end-to-end lifecycle of activities
- Capability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
- (Preferred) Familiarity with VA infrastructure and data sources
- (Preferred) Proficiency in cloud architecture design patterns and best practices
- (Preferred) Solid experience with Azure cloud services
- (Preferred) Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- (Preferred) Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- (Preferred) Understanding of U.S. Government design constraints (e.g., Section 508 compliance)
- (Preferred) Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA)
- (Preferred) More than 5 years of experience with service-oriented architecture principles, software design patterns, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with government personnel and stakeholders to create solutions using the agencys new cloud-based data platform
- Modernize data infrastructure and enhance data governance processes
- Develop and architect enterprise applications within the healthcare sector
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to understand overarching goals and design robust technical architectures
- Gather user insights with clients to define business and technical requirements
- Transform requirements into design specifications and assist our development teams with platform implementation
- Design cloud-based solutions, including front-end, database, and reporting/visualization components based on user needs and anticipated loads
- Create Azure-based hybrid cloud applications, migrating applications and data from on-premises to cloud environments
- Formulate and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies utilizing Azure BLOB storage
- Lead developers and visualization analysts throughout the implementation process, ensuring adherence to our development and testing practices as well as industry best practices
