Requirements
Must:
- Currently enrolled at a college or university at least half-time in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline
- Willingness to commit to a 12-month internship with full-time availability during summer and part-time during the academic year
- Minimum GPA of 3.25
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with additional technologies such as Data Quality & validation automation, Amazon Web Services, Bloomberg APIs, Open Source Tools (R), MS.Net, Splunk Machine Learning, or Dataiku is desirable
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts including percentiles, confidence intervals, and correlation; knowledge of investment statistics like beta and covariance is a plus
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills, including effective communication, punctuality, and the ability to produce high-quality work consistently
- Enthusiasm for exploring and learning new technologies and programming languages
- Exposure to RDMS and No-SQL databases is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design and set up data flows, including automation and automated quality checks
- Identify, design, and implement improvements in internal processes, such as automating manual tasks and optimizing data delivery
- Construct the infrastructure for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading for use by portfolio managers and analysts
- Collaborate with the team to create scalable and adaptable solution architectures utilizing modern technologies within a dynamic operational framework
- Participate in and guide the research of proof of concepts (POCs), which includes design, coding, and evaluating performance and effectiveness
