Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience in core banking and retail banking systems
- More than 5 years of extensive knowledge in Profile Scripting Language (PSL)
- Solid understanding of Profile v7 architecture
- Familiarity with legacy MUMPS and customization conversion methods
- Proven track record in leading large-scale Profile upgrade or implementation projects
- Exceptional client-facing communication skills, able to articulate complex technical matters to non-technical audiences
- Strong comprehension of core banking domains including Accounts, Deposits, Loans, Interest, Fees, Posting, EOD/BOD
- Insight into regulatory and audit requirements in banking systems
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Tier 1 banks and multi-country banking setups
- Knowledge of API enablement or integrations related to Profile
- Exposure to modernization initiatives associated with digital channels or middleware
- Previous participation in Profile replacement or coexistence programs involving Profile and digital core/integration layers
Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Profile v7 for core banking implementations, upgrades, and modernization projects.
- Lead the design, development, and modification of Profile customizations, including legacy MUMPS-based customizations and migration using PSL.
- Manage Profile upgrade initiatives for banks operating older Profile versions, some over 15-20 years old.
- Provide technical direction across both onshore and offshore development teams.
- Evaluate architecture, design specifications, and code to ensure compliance with Profile best practices, ensuring high performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for client stakeholders, including bank IT leadership, operations, and functional SMEs, as well as vendor and product teams.
- Diagnose complex production issues and lead root cause investigations.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentor junior and mid-level Profile developers.
- Assist in estimation, planning, and governance for significant programs.
