Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree
- Demonstrated professional experience in application development (non-entry level)
- Practical development experience in Python and/or Java
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain Python-based solutions for reinsurance data processing, automation, and reporting
- Create and support integration across various systems and data platforms to enhance reinsurance data quality and accessibility
- Collaborate with business representatives to comprehend requirements and convert them into system requirements and technical specifications
- Produce clear, reliable, and maintainable code while adhering to software fundamentals and best practices
- Test code modifications (unit/system), assess results with business partners, and ensure that changes do not adversely affect other functionalities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external partners
- Address production issues promptly and participate in the teams on-call rotation for 24-hour system support (approx. every 4th week, Monday-Sunday), predominantly managing support through established processes and potentially requiring after-hours engagement
- Occasionally work night/weekend hours to meet crucial deadlines as necessary
