Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 8 years of development experience in COBOL, IMS DB/DC
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural and design roles
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in technical or team leadership (preferred)
- Experience in the airline industry (preferred)
- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including engineering and operational partners
- Hands-on experience in architecting and delivering AI-enabled and cloud-native systems in hybrid environments
- Proficiency in Agile, SDD (Spec Driven Development), and modern AI-augmented software development life cycle methodologies
- Expertise in application, data, integration, and AI architecture, including workflow design and API-first patterns
- In-depth knowledge of event-driven architecture and cloud integration
- Significant experience in requirements analysis, specification development, and AI-assisted workflows
- Leadership in technical architecture for complex operational domains, emphasizing resiliency and AI automation
- Capability to manage extensive architectural workloads across various programs and initiatives
- Strong understanding of enterprise application environments and integration ecosystems
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and contributing to the technical direction of application design
- Collaborating with developers to guide architectural approaches for both Functional and Technical Design; reviewing, modifying, and approving pertinent documents
- Producing necessary documentation to support technical application architecture, vision, strategy, standards, policies, and presentations
- Providing ongoing technical input during meetings to foster optimal application architecture
- Escalating technical challenges as necessary to keep projects on track and minimize risks
- Developing, maintaining, and sharing application architecture standards and procedures
- Evaluating Business Requirements documents and suggesting alternative best-practice solutions before design commences
- Reviewing code changes and unit test cases as applicable, particularly in high-risk scenarios
- Offering technical assistance and feedback related to the M&E application and its architecture
- Advising resources on related application architecture and infrastructure services
- Implementing effective technology to enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving, multitasking, coordinating, and scheduling to ensure clarity and predictability
- Empowering team members to foster growth and independence
- Consistently exemplifying a positive, professional leadership demeanor in communications and interactions
