Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or a related technical field, or comparable experience/training - Over 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and executing large-scale solutions in production settings - Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or related technical discipline is preferred - Experience in the airline industry is a plus - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript/TypeScript - Familiarity with frameworks like Spring/SpringBoot, FastAPI - Knowledge of front-end technologies including Angular and React - Experience with deployment technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker - Skills in source control platforms like GitHub and Azure DevOps - Competence in CICD practices, particularly GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps - Data management skills with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis - Familiarity with integration/API technologies including Kafka, REST, and GraphQL - Experience with cloud providers like Azure and AWS - Ability to enhance solutions for performance, resilience, and reliability while keeping simplicity in mind - Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, including coding and diagramming - Capability to optimize system designs across teams to facilitate incremental releases - Effective in collaborative responsibility sharing - Knowledgeable about product domains and advancing technologies to introduce effective solutions - Proficiency in object-oriented design principles - Experience in Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM - Familiarity with DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Deployment

Responsibilities

- Write, test, and document technical deliverables (such as code, scripts, and processes) following organizational standards - Produce high-quality work and mentor team members on technical craftsmanship - Perform root cause analysis to pinpoint systemic issues and lead the execution of resolutions - Design integrated systems that leverage organizational best practices, enabling diverse teams across product areas to deliver value efficiently - Manage technical debt within existing systems and seek opportunities for remediation in active implementations - Anticipate challenges related to scaling, latency, and durability, and guide teams in applying mitigating strategies - Partner with security teams to integrate security-conscious practices early in the system development lifecycle - Assess technical risks and guide teams towards practical strategies for prevention - Collaborate across teams to break down barriers and collectively resolve issues - Foster strong relationships with engineering and product leaders, as well as key vendors to optimize synergies across organizations - Translate technical strategies into actionable components relevant to the business area - Focus on eliminating duplicative efforts across teams and proactively seek opportunities for reuse - Serve as a mentor to individuals across the influence span - Ensure alignment among teams on the engineering strategy for their product domains and lead cross-team initiatives that enhance organizational strategy
