Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience/training
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security technology design
- At least 5 years of experience in developing network, server, and application systems
- 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing PKI and cryptographic solutions (preferred)
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Identity and Access solutions (preferred)
- 3 years of experience with Network Security and VPN solutions (preferred)
- Over 4 years of experience with NIST 800 series frameworks (preferred)
- Experience with application coding and scripting in Python, SQL, BASH, or PowerShell (preferred)
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, and various GIAC aviation-aligned certifications, Microsoft/Azure security certifications, and Zero Trust-related GIAC certifications
- Strong understanding of airworthiness cybersecurity concepts and related regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with industry standards and organizations related to aviation cybersecurity
- Ability to analyze cybersecurity for various aviation systems and tools
- Awareness of aviation cyber threat vectors
- Experience with SIEM platforms and cybersecurity practices
- Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts and cryptographic workflows
- Ability to perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments
- Problem-solving and project coordination skills, with experience working with diverse teams
Responsibilities
- Utilize cybersecurity knowledge to guide technical research, system planning, and design for digital aircraft to protect corporate, vendor, and customer data
- Define and implement security requirements, and technical solutions aligned with industry and company standards across multiple domains
- Provide security consultations for teams supporting digital aircraft and communication systems
- Oversee compliance with standards and regulations from a cybersecurity standpoint for governing authorities
- Collaborate with industry partners to share and receive insights on cybersecurity
- Assist in managing cyber incidents related to aviation technologies and maintain key project documentation and work products
- Ensure vulnerability management practices are applied to digital aircraft systems
- Work with business and IT teams to address and remediate compliance issues promptly
- Embrace a mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Maintain effective problem-solving and multitasking abilities to meet project goals
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as necessary, with prior planning
