Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Preference for degrees from ABET accredited institutions
- Equivalent educational experience may include a Ph.D. with a minimum of 4 years, an MS with at least 8 years, or a BS with at least 10 years of experience
- Proficient in digital signal analysis techniques for high-speed test data
- Strong skills in Python software development, signal analysis, and processing
- Proven experience with high-speed data acquisition hardware (National Instruments preferred)
- U.S. Citizenship required for access to MSFC
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with propulsion system development teams on data management and analysis
- Acquire, convert, process, and package high-speed data from propulsion system testing
- Review and verify results from data analysis
- Provide hardware support for Multi-Channel Integrated Dynamic Data Acquisition System (MIDDAS) and Real-Time Vibration Monitoring System (RTVMS) during testing
- Maintain and enhance MIDDAS and RTVMS hardware and software
- Conduct installations, setups, and operational support for testing
- Validate and deliver test data following testing protocols
