Requirements
Must:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute for degree
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in software development
- Valid Real ID drivers license required for access to customer sites; reliable transportation is necessary for occasional travel between local worksites
- Active SECRET US Government Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory for obtaining clearance
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with C++ programming
- Proficiency in additional programming languages, including Python and Java
- Understanding of Agile Development methodologies such as Scrum or LeSS is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of high-performance software components specifically for hypervelocity systems using C++
- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to support scientific and engineering projects
- Collaborate both independently and within teams across different organizations to achieve targeted objectives within established deadlines
- Work with Windows and Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
- Utilize VScode for the development environment
- Integrate technologies, including JavaScript, React, Express, Python, and SQL, to boost system capabilities
- Apply best practices in the software development lifecycle utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure top-quality deliverables
- Oversee version control and maintain code repositories with tools like GitHub, Git, SVN, ensuring code integrity through thorough review processes
- Engage in quantum engineering projects by applying complex computational techniques and algorithms
- Create secure access protocols (RBAC) and implement stringent security measures within applications
- Optimize interactions with MySQL and SQL Server databases for efficient data retrieval and storage
- Assist in application deployment across Linux, Windows (.NET), and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
