Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of professional software development experience
- More than 8 years of experience in at least one programming language
- Extensive experience in leading the design and architecture of systems
- Previous experience mentoring, leading, or managing an engineering team
- Comprehensive understanding of the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and testing
Responsibilities
- Define system architecture and implement specific components
- Work closely with product managers and UX designers to establish product scope
- Address technical challenges and develop effective solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional resources to achieve objectives
- Write high-quality, efficient, and testable code in Java and other languages
- Design tools to support internal business operations
- Create highly available, secure, and low-latency systems
- Mentor fellow developers and guide their growth
- Learn to engineer systems at Amazon Scale
- Design and implement microservices
- Own the systems built, relying on real-time customer data and service-level agreements
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, and process enhancement
