Must:

- 5+ years of experience working with large-scale Windows or Linux environments
- 3+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud technologies
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Experience in data center or mission-critical environments
- Project management experience related to complex technical initiatives
- Strong documentation and communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and support extensive Windows and Linux environments, including virtualization platforms and networking elements
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, or Bash, emphasizing scalable deployment processes and infrastructure management
- Collaborate with AWS or similar cloud platforms to support hybrid infrastructure settings
- Design and implement secure, scalable solutions while considering system interdependencies and constraints
- Analyze intricate technical issues, employing root cause analysis to formulate effective solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation, develop training resources, and facilitate team knowledge sharing
- Work collaboratively with global teams, providing technical advice and supporting cross-functional initiatives
- Identify security vulnerabilities, create mitigation plans, and participate in compliance activities
- Be available for 24/7 on-call rotation and may involve up to 20% travel

In the Controls Fleet team, we build and support vital infrastructure services that power leading e-commerce and cloud computing environments. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Systems Engineer to join our team of Windows and Linux specialists. In this position, you will roll out infrastructure and create automated solutions across our expanding environment. We seek individuals who not only possess strong Windows Server administration and Linux systems experience but also hands-on automation and scripting abilities, along with a solid grasp of networking and distributed systems concepts. Clear communication and documentation skills are crucial as you will work closely with teams worldwide. We appreciate candidates who can tackle complex technical issues through deep analysis, adapt to a fast-paced work environment, and effectively communicate technical ideas.
