Senior Software Engineer, Kiro Autonomous Agent

Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
- 5+ years of experience with at least one programming language
- 5+ years of experience in leading design or architecture of systems (including design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead, or in leading an engineering team
- 5+ years involving the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations (preferred)
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in developing complex software systems delivered to customers (preferred)
- Familiarity with AI-based development tools in production software (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction and architecture of the Kiro Autonomous Agent service
- Collaborate directly with customers to identify real-world development challenges and translate them into product capabilities
- Build and maintain production systems utilizing industry-leading CI/CD practices
- Ensure reliability and performance of Kiro Autonomous Agent as per customer expectations
- Oversee the complete lifecycle from architectural decisions to hands-on feature development
- Balance innovation with operational excellence in technical decision-making
- Enable the agent to function independently while adhering to AWSs scale and security standards
