Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or possess equivalent experience.
- I have over 5 years of experience in quality control, construction management, or a related field, preferably within data center or critical infrastructure projects.
- I have a strong understanding of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality control methodologies, along with knowledge of industry standards and best practices concerning construction quality control.
- I possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- I possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing me to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- I am willing to travel up to 50% of the time to various project sites across North and South America.
Responsibilities
- I lead the implementation of QAQC processes throughout data center construction projects, from pre-design to turnover phases and beyond.
- I review design documents and provide feedback on constructability, maintainability, and quality assurance measures.
- I develop and maintain quality control plans, factory/field inspection checklists, and relevant documentation.
- I conduct onsite QAQC inspections for installation activities, ensuring compliance with AWS standards and specifications.
- I coordinate with third-party Quality Control Agents/Vendors (QCA) to ensure comprehensive QAQC.
- I facilitate regular QC meetings with stakeholders to review and address quality-related issues.
- I monitor and report on quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the project lifecycle.
- I identify, document, and track quality defects or non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution.
- I compile and deliver comprehensive quality control turnover packages for each project phase.
- I conduct final quality reviews and walkthroughs with key stakeholders prior to project handover.
- I facilitate knowledge transfer to end customers on QAQC processes and lessons learned.
- I contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data and proposing process enhancements.
- I collaborate with cross-functional teams including Construction Management, Commissioning, and Data Center Engineering Operations to ensure seamless project execution.
- I stay current with industry best practices and AWS-specific quality standards, incorporating them into quality control processes.
