Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of experience in cloud architecture and solution implementation
- Familiarity with key AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3)
- Proven experience implementing AWS services in diverse distributed computing setups
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent STEM experience
- Preferred: Over 5 years of IT implementation experience
- Preferred: Advanced degree in technology or AWS Professional level certification
- Knowledgeable about AWS services encompassing computing, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Understanding of security and compliance regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR
- Technical proficiency in designing and implementing cloud computing technologies
- Experience in leading the design, development, and deployment of scalable business software or contemporary hands-on tech infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization
- Skills in performance optimization and cost management for cloud resources

Responsibilities
- Employ customer-facing skills to effectively represent AWS within customer environments and engage in discussions with senior stakeholders about trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk management
- Collaborate closely with AWS Platform Service Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure successful project consulting engagements
- Work directly with customers technical teams to design and advocate solutions based on their requirements
- Strategically analyze business, product, and technical challenges within an enterprise setting
- Evaluate on-premises database environments such as Oracle and SQL Server, transitioning to Open-Source engines like Aurora PostgreSQL/MySQL or Redshift, DynamoDB
- Assist customers in migrating their database environments to AWS, which may involve re-hosting, upgrading, or refactoring for open-source platforms on AWS
- Provide consultation for optimal database environment design, evaluating complex distributed production setups, and making performance-enhancing recommendations
- Innovate solutions to intricate business and technology challenges, with the potential for travel to client locations as needed
