Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of experience managing engineering teams
- More than 7 years of direct involvement with engineering teams
- At least 3 years of experience in designing or architecting systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Minimum of 4 years driving the definition and development of multi-tier web services
- Familiarity with engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
- Proven experience collaborating with product or program management teams
- Experience in engaging with users and technical teams, as well as senior leadership, to gather requirements, discuss software product features, technical designs, and product strategies
- Background in recruiting, hiring, coaching, and managing software engineers to enhance their effectiveness and skills
- Exposure to diverse technologies, spanning from front-end interfaces to back-end systems and everything in between
Responsibilities
- Drive the development and rollout of desktop and mobile Seller/Vendor experiences using service-oriented and micro-frontend architectures
- Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, including planning, prioritization, design, and delivery
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions are consistently delivered
- Cultivate a culture of excellence in software engineering
- Exemplify Amazons Leadership Principles to the team
- Challenge conventional thinking and promote a vision of ongoing innovation
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to convert complex data dependencies, AI and ML technologies, and intricate constraints into user-friendly tools
- Support team growth and development through effective recruiting, mentoring, and leadership
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and Science teams to synchronize customer needs with business objectives
