Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of experience in managing engineering teams
- More than 7 years of engineering expertise
- At least 8 years of experience leading the design and development of multi-tier web services
- Familiarity with engineering practices covering the entire software/hardware/network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
- Experience collaborating with product or program management teams
- A Bachelor's degree
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with supportive teams, including UX, Product Management, and backend API teams, to define feature designs and requirements
- Build and nurture a skilled team of engineers to uphold the Zappos.com shopping experience
- Oversee the teamβs roadmap and priorities to ensure effective delivery for our customers and stakeholders
- Maintain high application performance standards related to uptime and web core vital metrics
