Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
- 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Proven ability to collaborate with product or program management teams
- 3+ years of software development experience (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in building software that interfaces with hardware (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Define and guide the long-term vision for the team
- Manage resource allocation to achieve business and staff development objectives
- Engage in strategic planning to fulfill technical and business targets
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement optimal technical solutions
- Establish a strategy for maintaining a unified codebase that supports both 1st and 2nd generation satellites
- Work with cross-functional partners to develop a prioritized project roadmap
- Recruit and nurture top talent to reach the teams goals
