Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process enhancement
- More than 5 years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one modern programming language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Proficient in network troubleshooting tools (e.g., telnet, test-netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, and packet capture tools), and experienced in automation and version control tools
- Familiar with incident management and troubleshooting in live production environments
- Knowledge of software/hardware/network engineering practices and patterns throughout the complete development life cycle
- Experience in designing or architecting both new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Background in driving automation initiatives within operational settings
Responsibilities
- Design and sustain processes, procedures, and tools to assess, troubleshoot, and manage a global Service Provider network at scale
- Gain a thorough understanding of end-to-end network architecture, including control and data planes across satellite systems and terrestrial networks
- Set up and enforce incident management and problem management procedures to ensure swift resolutions
- Collaborate with service owners to troubleshoot incidents and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts
- Prioritize and oversee initiatives across various teams to systematically address recurring issues
- Create proactive monitoring and alerting systems to enhance network reliability and customer satisfaction
- Work at the nexus of space-based and terrestrial networking to address unique engineering challenges
