Senior Systems Development Engineer, Amazon Leo

- Oversee the validation of development test systems - Manage software and hardware integration testing - Innovate software, firmware, and hardware architectures for multiple manufacturing test lines - Conduct reviews and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or equivalent - Facilitate and organize the release of software and hardware system documentation through gate reviews - Investigate and resolve yield challenges during prototype and production builds - Create status and/or build reports for cross-functional reviews - Drive and prioritize system test campaign execution - Design and develop software/scripting test setups and supportive hardware for satellite bus subsystem validation - Analyze cross-functional trade-offs among design alternatives regarding performance, schedule, cost, risk, complexity, and scalability - Coordinate with hardware development teams on schedules, test requirements, specifications, and limitations - Collaborate with design engineers to provide design for testability (DFT) feedback throughout the design cycle - Assist in production and integration efforts for hardware subsystems - Define test strategy and optimize test setup/processes at the contract manufacturer, including design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and test software - Create procedures, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides to enhance production - Develop and communicate system integration and evaluation strategies and plans for program learning, technical risk reduction, verification, and validation - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
