Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field - Over 5 years of experience in designing hardware for automated test systems or embedded electronic devices - Proven track record in defining hardware and software specifications for testing systems or intricate electronics - Expertise in schematic design, PCB layout principles, and troubleshooting electrical issues - Practical experience with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, data acquisition systems, power supplies, and signal generators - Strong capability to diagnose root causes of hardware and system failures - Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical design documents, performance standards, and manufacturing instructions - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to manage the full delivery cycle of test solutions within fast-paced and ambiguous technical contexts

Responsibilities

- Design and develop intricate avionics test rack hardware to facilitate efficient development, production, and validation of flight electronics - Take ownership of test rack hardware and software requirements, converting device-level specifications and performance needs into well-defined, scalable test system architectures - Extract and validate testing requirements from engineering design documentation to ensure thorough test coverage - Investigate and rectify test challenges in production, regression, and qualification environments using data-driven root cause analysis - Evaluate and authorize manufacturing processes and work instructions related to the assembly and testing of avionics devices - Generate training materials, documentation, and tools to enable safe and effective use of test racks by operators, technicians, and engineers - Persistently enhance reliability, diagnostics, throughput, and scalability of test systems - Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (software, quality assurance, production operations) to ensure test systems align with program objectives - Exhibit complete ownership from conception to deployment, including architecture, design reviews, implementation, verification, and support
