Requirements
Must:
- Experience in defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility tradeoffs
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or a related engineering field
- Over 5 years of experience in satellite terminal development, integration, and validation
- More than 3 years of experience in hardware design and validation of components and subsystems
- In-depth knowledge of communication systems, RF, and phased array antennas
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++
- Familiarity with test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, channel emulators, network emulators, and GNSS emulators
- Experience in the development of complex telecommunication, antenna, and/or satellite communication strategies
- Background in creating mobility terminals
Responsibilities
- Design mobile terminal architecture in collaboration with subsystem engineers across various disciplines like electrical, RF, antenna, and software
- Conduct design tradeoffs and performance simulations to guide architecture decisions
- Establish and maintain the mobility lab for validating aviation, maritime, and automotive terminals in both lab settings and with LEO satellites
- Actively collaborate with internal and external development partners regarding systems hardware and software architectures and implementations
- Ensure that deliverables comply with technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business standards
- Conduct in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites
- Travel up to 10% of the time as needed throughout project phases
