Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency with hardware lab equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and soldering tools
- Over 7 years of experience in high-speed digital and/or RF design
- Expertise in signal and power integrity design and analysis
- Experience in mixed-signal PCB layout designs
- Familiarity with schematic capture tools and PCB layout viewers
- Experience with board bring-up and troubleshooting in a lab setting
- Masters degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of analog or board simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, HyperLynx) (preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferred)
- Understanding of analog electronics fundamentals (transistors, op-amps, filters, etc.) (preferred)
- Familiarity with DC power supply design (preferred)
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design mitigation techniques (preferred)
- Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools (preferred)
- Skills in developing lab test programs for instrument control (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design advanced customer terminal hardware architectures in collaboration with partner teams
- Generate and review schematics
- Guide board layout processes from conceptualization to fabrication
- Serve as the electrical engineering hardware lead for the integrated product team
- Oversee hardware validation for your designs and present findings to leadership at the director level
- Assist the factory team in diagnosing issues on the production line and resolve outstanding tickets prior to build readiness reviews
- Collaborate with internal customers and engage in cross-functional troubleshooting initiatives
- Ensure effective flow-down of requirements and create test plans/procedures
- Lead board bring-up and conduct testing campaigns for modules and subsystems
- Support the transition of designs into mass production
