Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software language
- 5+ years leading design or architecture of systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- Experience as a mentor or technical lead
- Proficiency in embedded development using C/C++/Rust/assembly and scripting in Python
- General troubleshooting and debugging experience with hardware
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices throughout the full software development life cycle (coding standards, architectures, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, operational excellence)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly reliable flight software, including control systems and autonomous behaviors for RTOS and bare-metal environments
- Create supporting infrastructure for testing, validation, and simulation software
- Engage in the entire software development life-cycle from requirement gathering and design to deployment and orbit maintenance
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers for the design, construction, integration, testing, and launch of high-speed optical communication systems
