Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of experience in ASIC implementation, synthesis, static timing analysis, and physical design in deep sub-micron nodes (16nm or smaller)
- 8+ years of experience in digital design within communication systems
- 8+ years of experience in wireless communication systems and their implementation
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering/Communications Engineering, or experience in designing digital communication systems
- Understanding of chip implementation with multiple power islands and power gating
- Familiarity with serial protocols such as SPI, I2C, I3C, and UART
- Proficient in low power design techniques
- Preferred: Masters degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Preferred: Experience with modern ASIC/FPGA design and verification tools
- Preferred: Experience with SoC bring-up and post-silicon validation
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of large subsystems and custom blocks through RTL
- Integrate IP cores by selecting configuration and connectivity options that fulfill system specifications
- Become the teams expert by assimilating IP collateral
- Take ownership as the cognizant designer for software integration
- Collaborate with the verification team to ensure comprehensive test plans and functional coverage
- Support the design throughout all phases including RTL/Gate simulations, emulation, and post-silicon implementations
- Work closely with system architects to craft world-class SOC and IP blocks meeting power, area, and performance goals
- Define, configure, and integrate SoC subsystems
- Configure and integrate third-party IP blocks and develop corresponding support logic
- Contribute to SoC floor planning efforts
- Understand low power design and the implications of DFT on blocks
- Execute initial synthesis, timing analysis, CDC analysis, and other backend interface processes
- Assist the verification team in unit verification including test plan development
- Aid in debug and bring-up processes
