Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Proficient in modern ASIC/FPGA design and verification tools
- Skilled in writing test scripts (Python preferred) for FPGA image validation in hardware
- Over 7 years of experience in FPGA design and implementation using System Verilog
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx/AMD (or Altera) FPGAs
- Knowledge of microarchitecture, RTL coding, FPGA performance optimization, and validation techniques
- Familiarity with developing Python tests for hardware testing and Cocotb simulation environments (preferred)
- Experience in high-speed networking, SerDes, or Ethernet standards (50G/100G, Interlaken), is a plus
- Understanding of AXI4 and AXI Streaming interfaces (preferred)
- Proven success in deploying and supporting FPGA and ASIC products
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of one or more FPGA bitstreams
- Design and release FPGAs through various development phases including microarchitecture, RTL design, physical implementation, and validation
- Work closely with network communication system architects to design, implement, test, and support networking functions using FPGA technology
- Collaborate with digital communications and networking design teams on FPGA digital logic functions
- Partner with system architects and engineers to implement digital logic functions in FPGA prototypes for validation and design trade-offs
- Engage with hardware engineering and firmware/software design teams to bring up and test systems integrating FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking components
- Conduct trade-off analyses to enhance customer experience while optimizing technology resources for cost, size, power, and performance
