Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer at AWS, I will have the opportunity to solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack. I will design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions that transform service performance, durability, cost, and security. I will create metrics, implement automation and other improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects. I will also participate in design discussions, conduct code reviews, and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. Working in a collaborative team, I will focus on building high-quality, highly available products that serve our large customer base.
