Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
Responsibilities
As a software development engineer on our team, I will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, managing, optimizing, and re-imagining highly distributed, large-scale services.
- Translating complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Collaborating with others on the engineering team to manage day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
- Delivering quality features on time and on budget while executing against project plans and delivery commitments.
- Contributing to the intellectual property of Amazon through patents and external publications.
- Building high-impact solutions for our large customer base and participating in design discussions and code reviews.
- Working cross-functionally to drive business decisions with technical input and thriving in a startup-like environment.
