Requirements
Must:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or A+, CND (Certified Network Defender), Network+, or Security+ certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in systems administration (Linux/Windows or Networking).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing debugging and systems analysis skills to swiftly identify and address issues.
- An active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to effectively take a defined set of tasks and execute them on schedule. Your ability to identify ineffective processes will be crucial. You should be able to recognize when technical implementations may have defects or lack high availability, performance, or maintainability. Understanding operational risks is key, as is avoiding unnecessary risks. You will be responsible for identifying operational concerns and resolving, mitigating, or escalating these issues promptly.
Description
We, at AWS, have formed a dedicated group of service teams focused on our work with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are constructing some of the largest and most intricate distributed systems globally, and we are in search of exceptional individuals to help us execute and maintain them. The AWS Intelligence Initiative Team is on the lookout for cleared engineers to join us for a distinctive opportunity to collaborate with some of the finest engineers and technical leaders in the industry. Our engineers participate in an intensive 3 to 6-month development program aimed at immersing them in our operational culture, enhancing their technical expertise through hands-on training, and providing a comprehensive understanding of our technology, all while receiving dedicated mentorship and support from alumni of the program, culminating in obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance. After completing our program, engineers will acquire foundational skills and knowledge to thrive within AWS, assisting U.S. Government agencies in implementing innovative cloud computing solutions, solving technical challenges, and joining a specialized engineering team.
