Requirements
Must:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software development (not including internships)
- Minimum of 2 years in system design or architecture, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability
- Proficient in at least one programming language
Responsibilities
- Conduct research, design, and implement changes to the Linux kernel as needed for business goals
- Lead kernel development for future EC2 compute platforms
- Launch Linux on new hardware and custom silicon environments
- Diagnose complex, system-level issues across various components from the kernel to the application layer
- Analyze system performance and suggest optimizations in the software stack
- Create tools for performance characterization, qualification, and deployment purposes
- Write production-ready code and ensure its functionality in live environments
- Collaborate effectively with hardware, firmware, systems, and application software teams
- Be open to utilizing AI tools and technologies for improving productivity and problem-solving skills
