Requirements
Must:
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical systems, or in data center/mission critical facilities (e.g., hospitals, military bases, public safety facilities)
- 2 years of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 4+ years in data center engineering or operations expertise
- Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections to monitor and document data from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to guarantee continual reliability
- Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS)
- Assist in diagnosing facility and rack-level issues according to internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Execute rack installations and decommissioning within established SLAs
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of various electrical and mechanical equipment
- Produce technical documentation to support change management initiatives
- Track daily work orders, ensuring prompt resolution and closing out projects from start to finish
- Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with prescribed protocols and local regulations
- Adapt work schedules based on site requirements, with potential for 12-hour shifts and call rotations
- May support more than one site/location
