Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or relevant experience
- Over 5 years of experience in quality control, construction management, or a related domain, ideally within data center or critical infrastructure projects
- Strong grasp of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality assurance methodologies
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to construction quality control
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication capabilities, with a proven ability to build strategic relationships across teams
- Preferred: Experience in a data center or similar critical environment
- Preferred: Understanding of AWS or the cloud computing industry
- Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the implementation of quality assurance and control processes during data center construction projects, from pre-design to completion and beyond
- Assess design documents and provide insights on constructability, maintainability, and quality assurance practices
- Create and sustain quality control plans, inspection checklists, and relevant documentation
- Perform onsite QAQC inspections for installation tasks, verifying adherence to AWS standards and specifications
- Collaborate with third-party Quality Control Agents/Vendors (QCA) to ensure thorough QAQC measures
- Organize routine QC meetings with stakeholders to discuss and resolve quality-related concerns
- Track and report on quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) during the project lifecycle
- Identify, document, and manage quality defects or non-conformities, ensuring prompt resolution
- Prepare and present comprehensive quality control turnover packages for each project phase
- Conduct final quality reviews and walkthroughs with key stakeholders before project handoff
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to customers on QAQC processes and insights gained
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data and suggesting process enhancements
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Construction Management, Commissioning, and Data Center Engineering Operations to ensure seamless project delivery
- Stay updated on industry best practices and AWS-specific quality benchmarks, integrating them into quality control processes
- Willing to travel up to 75% of the time to various OSA and project locations across North and South America
