Night Chief Engineer, Data Center Operations

- I will expect you to serve as the primary contact for any facilities-related issues, managing both routine and emergency services for various critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, and computer room air handlers. - Conduct root cause analyses of equipment failures and troubleshoot facilities in line with internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). - Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and collaborate with the Facility Manager to foster a strong team culture. - Develop and implement new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teams. - You may assist in the construction of new facilities and work on projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of current operations. - Be prepared to work outside of standard business hours for routine maintenance, including responding to emergency calls outside of regular hours. - Communicate intricate technical information to individuals lacking technical expertise. - Collaborate with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and improve plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency. - Ensure all safety protocols are followed by both vendor and Amazon personnel. - Establish performance benchmarks for buildings, conduct analyses, and generate reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance. - Utilize administrative tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily tasks.
