Requirements
Must:
- Over 1 year of experience with network cabling, fiber optics, and testing equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Must hold a US government security clearance of top secret or above, or possess 3+ years in security, compliance, and risk management
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph required
- General knowledge of the different components and sub-components within data center infrastructure
- Minimum of 3 years of mid-level and/or enterprise experience as a technician or engineer, or equivalent education and experience
Responsibilities
- Communicate project status and any roadblocks to leadership and project management
- Execute device build and validate cabling activities
- Oversee cabling vendor tasks and ensure quality assurance
- Aid Network Engineering deployment during scheduled change management and participate in the migration, including basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware, possibly outside business hours
- Resolve customer requests through the Remedy trouble ticketing system
- Diagnose networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including network device configuration and low-level application interactions
- Provide straightforward, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
- Manage workflows and priorities using the ticketing system while collaborating with stakeholders to eliminate project obstacles
- Be prepared for travel up to 40% within geographical work areas, which may include international travel and managing small project scopes with uncertain details
