Fire Protection Engineer, Data Center Design

In this position, you will play a key role in shaping all elements of fire protection design, construction, operations, and maintenance for our global network of data centers. This encompasses fire suppression, fire detection, fire alarm systems, mass notification systems, fire-resistant construction, and life safety protocols. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to define, design, detail, and document the essential fire protection features of our facilities. Both prescriptive and performance-based design approaches will be utilized to ensure that our buildings protect our personnel and safeguard customer data consistently throughout the building's lifecycle. We expect you to share your expertise in continually enhancing our fire protection design standards. As the team's subject matter expert, you will ensure that contractors possess the necessary information to construct our data centers to our specifications and that our operations teams are equipped to maintain them effectively. You will engage with a range of internal and external partners, including design, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, and local building and fire officials.
